11 Transmission of data via social networking plug-ins and Google Analytics, integration with Facebook
Our website integrates social networking plug-ins ("plug-ins"), including those of Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA ("Facebook"). The plug-ins of this service are marked with the Facebook logo or "Like" button located on our website. When you visit our website, Facebook receives information that you have visited the website using your IP address. When a user clicks the "Like" button while logged in to his or her Facebook account at the same time, the content posted on the website becomes associated with the user's Facebook profile. As a result, Facebook can attribute the user's visit to our website to the user's account. The data is transferred regardless of whether the user has a Facebook account.
Polferro Ltd. points out that, as the operator of the website, it has no control over the data collected by Facebook and the data processing, nor does it know the full extent of the data collection, the purposes of the data processing or the retention periods. Facebook saves the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for advertising, market research and/or shaping its website as appropriate. The purpose of such analysis is, in particular, to inform other Facebook users about your activity on our website. Through the Facebook plug-in, we enable you to interact with this social network and other users so that we can improve our product offerings. We recommend that you always log out after using Facebook, in particular to avoid the above-described attribution of your online activity to your profile. More information on the purpose and scope of Facebook's data collection and processing is contained in Facebook's privacy policy at: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php
